about

Founded in 1997 to provide a platform for improvised music compositions, Theak-tet create a synergy which allows a freedom and communication rarely possible with thrown together groups. Their original, harmonically inventive, and melodic compositions set them apart from the pack.

Internationally acclaimed and very well travelled, Theak-tet have received all the right awards and played in all the right places. Indeed it was during a recent German tour that Hrolfur Vagnsson captured this scintillating combo at their very best, with David Theak's prodigious tenor sax performance raising the bar for all to follow.
